The world loves the Pack

I'm an equal-opportunity spelling helper, and will freely help Vikings, Packers, and even Bears fans if necessary.

To my understanding, I don't think Favre actually lives in Wisconsin anyway, and I don't see how that has much to do with anything. Buzzsaw is really grasping for straws in the Falcons loss comparison, but he's free to keep trying.

Just like for Vikings fans, the Packer fans sometimes have to endure tough losses. This weekend's contest against the Eagles may bring one of them, but that's the game and as a fan you have to live with it.

And as for Favre retiring, someday he will. All players do. I have confidence in Packer management that they will find a suitable replacement, and do all the other things they need to in order to keep the Packers winning games and titles.

jegerjack,

Although your grammar leaves little to be desired, it is your spelling that could use a little help. You may wish to install
on your computer so you can check your posts prior to posting them. If you use
rather than Internet Explorer, a similar utility can be found
that will do the same thing.

You may not care a whit about your spelling, of course. But if you do, these are things that can help make your arguments look a little less silly. It's your choice.

I must be hitting a sore spot of yours if you are having to stoop to personal attacks, not really FishingMN material I must say. Butt eye dyegress, it is like water of a ducks back... So keep the attacks coming, you are the one that looks like a horse's..... Getting back to the theme of this thread, "GO PURPLE!!"....

If you MN people think that the WI people only started loving the pack after Farve got there think again. That stadium has been sold out "every" game for 40 years (Farve was not born yet). There were some terrible seasons in that time. And it will be sold out for another 40. (And that is another reason why the world loves the pack, the fans). When I moved here from MN I hated the pack. I held out for almost 4 yrs until one game I saw Brett getting the living sh-- beat out of him. He had to go to the sidelines and throw up from getting hit in the stomach. The very next play he throws a touchdown pass. That was it. I was won over by Farve. Shortly before that when I was living in Minneapolis I watched the Vikes trade away their whole team for Walker.

Muskybuck,

You stated that you were a Vikes fan until you found an admiration for Farve, which I also have. Then you decided you didn't like what was happening with the Vikes so you jumped ship. Sure sounds like bandwagon to me. Where are you going to go when Farve retires? Whoever has a stud quarterback and is winning? I do admire Farve's toughness, courage, and ability, also. That does not mean I will stop supporting the Vikes. You are the epitome of bandwagon.

The vast majority of football fans are the same in every city. Most are bandwagon, yes, that includes the Packers' fans, although I would agree it may be to a lesser extent.

It is hard not to wear green and gold in Green Bay when your only other fasion choice is blaze orange.

I hardly think that providing links to spell checkers qualifies as a "personal attack". I was just trying to be helpful. I'm not the best speller either, but I use these tools to correct my spelling. It's a fact of life that when you use poor spelling and bad grammar in your argument, it is diluted and people take you less seriously. It may not be fair, but it's true.

As far as the other comment about the Eagles game, I don't think you have to have blind faith that your team will win every game to be a fan. I'm realistic. The Packer D is questionable, their running back corps is rife with injury, and they're playing an away game against a 10-1 team. I sure hope they do win it, and do so in commanding fashion. But it would be foolish to proclaim them winners before the game starts.

I have tried and tried to love the Vikes. Even back when I still thoughly disliked the Pack, as all born Minnesotans are brought up doing, I could not stick with them because of the stupid coaches they had. Then Dennis Green came along and the Vikes started playing dirty football, like poke the other player in the eyes dirty, I just wrote them off. Even now you still see some of that Dennis Green's late hit dirty football coming through to haunt the Vikes. Tice is trying to fix that but it must be awful hard to beat.

You guys are pretty sure that Green Bay will never get a another good QB after Farve retires. You could be dissapointed you know.

By the way, did you guys catch Monday nights game and hear the announcers talking about Green Bay being the most loved football team in the world? It was wonderful!!

Oh yeah, and how about that play off game a few years ago when the Vikes had the best recievers (Carter and Moss)in the league, two of the best QB's, a tie game, the Vikes only needed about 30 yards to get within field goal range, 40 seconds or more to go in the fourth quarter, and Green has Cunningham take a knee. The other team wins the toss on overtime, goes right down kicks field goal and wins. That year the Vikes proabably had the best team in the NFL. That is typical Viking coaching stupidity. Even then Green got to coach another year. Man, That is why I say the Vikes don't even deserve loyal fans. If I was owner of the Vikes that day I would have fired Green on TV right after the game in front of whole stadium. For sure. That is when that joke got started about what do The MN Vikes and Billy Graham have in common, they can both get 60 thousand people to stand up at the same time and shout Jes-- Chri--!!!!

I really don't blame you Vike fans for secretly admiring and loving the Pack. It only natural. Don't be afraid to let it out.

I "secretely" admired them Packers yesterday during the close game they had with Philly! About as much as I secretely admired my Vikings red zone woes against da bears. I don't think either was a fluke... Minnesota needs a better deense, I mean Chad Hutchinson C'mon! and the Eagles must have thought they were playing on a ritz cracker for a field because they sure were spreading that cheese wiz around!

It was an ugly week for both of the teams. I don't care who you support both games were pretty ugly. The only thing that kept me from pulling my hair out is the shelling that the eagles gave to the pack. It brought back a little hope to a hopeless viking football day.

This just in. Another example of how the world does indeed love the Pack.

I was listening to Mike & Mike on ESPN radio this morning on the way to work. They were discussing the top football jersys sold this year.

1) Favre

2) Vick

3) Brady

4) I forget

Yes, the world does love the Pack.

Be nice fellow Vikings fan.... it can all come back to bite us in the arse this Friday.... but we will win when Favre tosses three more interceptions!

All I can ay is it would be nice to have our offensive line in tact, without Birk, Rosenthal and McKinnie (out most of the last game) the Lions had Culpepper on the run... I believe we will have Birk & Winfield back for Fridays tilt at the dome. It should be a shootout and a merry X-mas for either the purple faithful or the cheeseheads... my prediction Vikes 27-23.

Thanks to the packs loss this next game is one of the most exciting games to watch this year. This is for the division title. The team that wins (Viks) is going to have all the braging rights, because we all know that either team is not going to make it very far in the playoffs. And rightfully so. I don't want to say too many things about the pack, but GO VIKS!

Caught part of another storied packer game and I am still just mesmorized by the experience. I did notice a couple of things.....

Do the greatest fans in the world always boo when the team loses?? I aint buying this best fans talk anymore, bunch of bandwagoners, support a winner/boo a loser, fakers. I heard it when they played Philly and I heard it again on Sunday. Boo on bandwagoners! You can say it aint so all you want but I am sure many of you can go back to the tape and listen for yourselves.

The actions of the Faker fans speaks louder than thier illigitamate claims of undying admiration.

As far as the game on Friday I am pretty sure the Vikes will win but both teams are terrible.

Boo On!!!
