What is your favorite way to hold the hooks on your tip ups?

Yep, most often quick strike as well. Will sometimes replace the front hook with a single though, and always dorsal over mouth. Also started using Gapen Flicker rigs last year. They are only a one hook rig, but with a lively minnow hooked more on the rear of the dorsal and resulting wobble and flash from the "decoy" really seems to gain interest and strikes, even though they are supposed to be more of a jigging setup. Going to be experimenting more with them this year....

I bring along a couple old wine corks or sytrofoam chunks and some rubber bands for safe storage. I keep my tip ups in their own bag with accessories like spool lube, extra line, line markers, extra quick strike rigs, a big pliers, a mouth spreader.

I use to drill a very small hole in the end of the wood for the hook to sink and use a rubber band. Then for years I used a half of wine cork glued and/or screwed- works good and usually lasts. The best I've got are the booze bottle caps with cork in them. Then when you sink a screw through it to the wood it lasts for many years without breaking off like a plain cork.
