You guys really need a kwik trip....  Too bad you are too far from LaCrosse.

And .99 eggs. that's what they cost me there today. Plus a loaf of their Swiss rye bread, and bought a sandwich and tea there in between 27 different Mayo appts. Don't buy banana's there; they are grade #3, not #1's or select. A fact. Just learned that yday, from a food manager.  NYAA. :D

You nailed it buddy!!!! I've got quite a few stories aboot the young 'uns of today

For example, a couple years ago at a local gas station where they need to compute things individually to enter in, I got two bottles of root beer that were 2 for 2.22. She couldn't do the math in her head to figure out the individual cost, and asked me if I knew what 2.22/2 was. DUH!!!!

I would say that in the past five years, theres only been a dozen or so people that can count change back without the till telling them how much or a calculator.

Just did my union math based on your numbers.

Won't buy mine on line. Not paying a service fee to some chump shop down in Tennessee for a Minnesota fishing license.

I usually buy mine on line.  It makes no sense to be charged a fee to buy it on line like it's 1998 or something.  Is there any other place where you get charged a fee to buy something on line?  Then again is there any other businesses that charge a fee to use a credit card?  Ya see...most business take the fee into account when they project their margins and/or budgets.  Then again when there is no competition you're kind of f'd aren't you?  I can't buy a Minnesota fishing license anywhere else so bend me over, charge a fee, make it inconvenient and you still have my business.

Their Nanners are just fine.  And at half the price of the  other places, 38 cents per pound. No differences that I can perceive.   So I don't care what some guy tells you.  Did he hear it from the guy that is trying to explain why the sysco bananas cost more?

Kwik trip sells a lot of bananas.

So I don't care what some guy tells you.  Kwik trip sells a lot of bananas You sure are a big disbeliever. And Columbia sells a lot of c.....er, never mind. Better watch for tarantulas in 'em. Hope no one ever tells you your house is on fire. "Ya, right"......   You eat what you want, I will too. I bought 5 nanners there today.Maybe they'd make ya a nanner inspector, give ya a yellow banana hat to wear. Almost like those manager hats at Mickey D's.  He (that guy) USED to be a Kwik trip manager, now he manages the food section at the grocery store. Said they are smaller, which they ARE, and have less flavor, same as their oranges. They are graded extra,# 2, and 3.  Ever heard some oranges are just used for juice, because of that, ya, same thing with nanners. I bought some oranges there the other week; tasteless.

Here; this should give you "bunches" to think  about..... .http://www.unece.org/fileadmin/DAM/trade/agr/meetings/ge.01/document/Codex%20bananas%20E.pdf

Kwik trip bananas taste just fine to me.  Better than the ones at Ralph's for sure.  I don't mind smaller bananas, either.  If you want to pay double, live it up.  HiVee will fix you up.

quit being mean and disrespectful to bananas at the C store guys...it's worse than making fun of a retired guy buying a fishing license.  Some day you may be bananas.  How will you feel then?

I respect bananas more than those bad apples around these days.  The apples really can get a guy going...

There's a few around the south metro.  I frequent one in Savage for, drum roll please.... eggs and bananas.  Get gas at the Holiday for $0.10 less than anywhere in Bloomington, use the menards card to get another $0.05 off, use the cub rewards for another chunk off, and buzz over the KT to get my cheap (and apparently poisonous) bananas and eggs.

They won't build in Hennepin county as the tax structure doesn't work for their business plan.

And Rice-a-Roni also tastes great to me. No need for that fancy-shmansy imported stuff ya find in Hy-Vee.

Actually, the story I heard from someone who lives in Onalaska, near KT HQ is that they won't build anywhere that isn't within a certain driving time of LaCrosse, WI where their HQ and distribution and banana ripening facility is, so the stuff is fresh and the drivers get home on time.

Yes, they have their very own facility to ripen the bananas so they aren't so green when they sell them.

Also, they sell the car wash cards at a big discount twice a year.  So you can get the deluxe 7 dollar wash for like 3.5 with the discount on top of the deal for buying 10.

Automatic car washes...the destroyers of paint and top coats.....*shudder*

Whatever.  I use "touch free".  Can't be any worse than shootouts at the self service wash.  And the paint on my 99 Exploder looked fine when I sold it last year, after 16 years of automatic car washes.

From water?  Never noticed them, although I wasn't out with a magnifying glass either.

But I look at a car as a tool mostly.  Heavens, I even park it outside under the norway pine at the cabin.

more importantly Caseys has the best pizzas of the bunch.

I quit having to worry about touchless car washes once I started driving down a narrow logging road or two with my 3/4 ton pick up.

How'd Casey's get thrown in the mix?!
