My wife has a Sedum plant.  Very cool plant.  I like it.

I planted 24 little 4" high ones of these in a row...20 years go. .They've divided and multiplied. Get over 2' tall and dark maroon in the Fall. C'mon down and take some. :D

I hold you in high esteem, Dotch, please don't skew it by speaking nastiness such as above. :D

Well, let's see if I can reconstruct this since it wound up off into hyper space somewhere...

Cypress nuggets can be found at McDonald's but you have to ask for them. :D

Thinking I was talking about field progress which there was when I left to go feed the bottle lambs. More ground worked vs. this a.m. allowing it time to get warmed up for planting tomorrow or Friday. Bottle lambs were glad to see me as always. I guess if someone showed up to feed me 4 times a day I'd be happy too.

Mrs. Cheviot got her TV bought. Think it's going to be delivered but I'd better double check as these things have a nasty habit of biting me in the rear when I find out at the last minute something else has been arranged. At least now she won't have to use her imagination that something is on the screen. Think they used to call that radio. ;)

And the garden. Just having a tough time getting "up" for a major campaign right now. Although once I get going, it'll probably all get planted to something including a newly converted area. As a very wise man once said:

" I mean you can never have enough green beans! ;) :D

Maybe if I got the neighbor with the bum leg to help...at least get the flowers planted...

He's been drinking again.  lol  I think he dropped his phone in the toilet.  I hope it doesn't wreck it..   Morning boys.  I just got up.  Slept grat last night and have the day off.  It is a beautiful day out.  And yes the dog bombs are going to get it big time today.  I got the boat in the water last night after work.  Did some slow trolling with a crankbait for a short while.  Just wanted to see if everything was working and it was.  Buddy loved the boat but he was all over checking things out.  A real beaver not a Dotch variety was swimming by us and I told the wife to grab Buddy's tail as he was very close to jumping off the bow of the boat to chase the beaver.  Now there is nothing wrong with chasing a little beaver but there is a time for everything.....

I got new pillows for us the other day.  Ordered on Amazon and they are Cuddledown from Maine.  50% goose down and 50% duck feathers. I got the medium fill in queen sized.  WONDERFUL!  Come to think of it I don't have a stiff neck today.  May be the pillow but not sure yet.  I was going to buy a My Pillow but have never seen any product with such terrible reviews so staying away from that scam.

So having a cup of coffee and planning my events for the day.  You know what?  I think I will have another.  Man this is sort of like training for retirement.  I think I like it.  I will have to do a couple of short boat sessions I suppose to get buddy acclimated to the program.   For his benefit of course.

Well have a great day guys.  I will check back later.  No LL yet, hhmmm.

Oh ya, bad news.  A CEO from the cities has a cabin maybe 3 miles east of me.  He was out in a 14' boat and it evidently capsized and he had a life jacket on when he was found in the water but it was too late.  He floated past my place and was found near the boat access east of town.  Bad deal.   His boat has not been found.  They think it sank so must have been an older boat with not such good floatation in it.  Maybe I will look for it some today on my boat rides.

SO enjoy each day.  Anything can happen!

I'm up...I think. Knew I never should have done all that stuff yday. Little sleep with way too many pains. Supposed to be sunny and 70* out. I had the shorts and T-shirt on last nite, sure felt good. No shoes for me all summer, and the long pants honestly are put away for the Summer.   Biggest thing I'm going to do today is grill the last *SOB* of the RH brats, and make some spicy wings. Haven't decided on a sauce just yet. May mix some of that saucy-racha jazz with bbq sauce like last time. Looking forward to getting my boat out, too, and hope I get to see a beaver like LPS did. Probably not a good idea talking about beaver on here; and pulling tails. I wonder if dogs mind having their tail pulled? They do make a good handle. My dog definitely did NOT care for it. Time for another cup of coffee, gonna be a real slow day here...enjoy yers, guys.

I'm always hot stuff. *flex*flex*   image.axd?picture=2012%2F9%2Fmuscles.gif  I saw she was out scratching around in her yard with her 1960's metal tine rake, since she's too cheap to buy a proper yard rake. Had on a bright pink top and black pants. She sure is a fashion plate. Reminded me of the pink and black boxes of "Good and plenty" licorice candy. In fact, that may be a good name for her. But not with me. :D

I remember those Good and Plenty things from the good old days. I think more of them got thrown at people in the movie theater than eaten when we were kids. :D

Mornin'! Another nice morning and we're starting to consistently put more of them back to back. Planters are beginning to roll with today being a day to work the bugs out of their planting systems for many. I get to go out and check behind some of them to see how their actual performance is by digging the seed up to see if the computer is being honest. Still need boots on the ground to ground truth this razzle-dazzle hi tech stuff. :P

Along those same lines, I checked the black cutworm pheromone sticky trap this a.m. and see that for the 2nd morning I've caught a substantial number of moths. The data generated from the network of these traps is collected and used to predict the potential for crop damage from black cutworm larvae. Very nuts and bolts IPM. These are interesting traps as they use a capsule containing a sex attractant (pheromone) from female black cutworm moths to lure the males into the trap. Cutworm moth activity is largely nocturnal. The bottom of the trap has some sticky glue in it and the male cutworm moths swoop in there looking for a good time. They wind up stuck in the glue until morning when I fish them out. We have repeatedly warned human females that this does not work on human males. Time honored techniques such as use of alcoholic beverages, trashy attire, cheap perfume and overdone makeup are much more effective methods of attracting and trapping human males.:D

Pink and black was a big fashion thing back in the 50s.  So she is got the retro thing going on.

My dad had a 55 ford that was pink and black.

I've always been envious of people who have jobs where they take sabbaticals so I took one from here.  Frankly, it confirmed my theory on those who are allowed to do so, they aren't that important.  If you can take a sabbatical as a Math teacher to study Far East Studies in Cambodia for a year and come back and the building is still standing, unlike what you thought, you may want to reassess things.  I doubt those people do though.  It does seem there's a long chicken thread that started but I haven't read it.  Obviously it needs some hijacking.  How much can you do to a chicken?

I've been to the doc again and did blood work and found two things out of whack that indicate inflammation present in my body.  That's awesome news.  Kind of like the year I sunburnt my scalp for the first time in the Spring and figured out maybe I was losing some hair.  I gotta go see another doc they told me.  I could have nothing, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, or something worse.  Hats off to those of you with illnesses that require doctor visits.  Bobby, I've thought of you often and your unusual condition and how they ever figured it out.  Frankly, I'd prefer to not go to the doc again unless some new symptoms show up or these last for a few more weeks.  Seems fruitless going in.

Mrs LL has that colon check tomorrow.  I feel bad for her because she seems miserable and there's nothing I can do to help her.  She chugged the goop and I'm giving her some space.  It also sucks because she's my main game I hunt around the house and the season is obviously closed.  It's like hunting a Minnesota WMA that's devoid of any living organism by mid October.

I just proof read what I wrote up above...funny getting old isn't it?  I noticed about six months ago my buddies were suddenly talking about maladies.  Guess I was merely six months behind them.  A week ago I actually thought about cemetery spots.  My folks got cremated and there's room for one more in their spot, nice having that bullet in your holster.  Nice cemetery too and "it's free!!!"

I want to have my ashes scattered in several places...

The "trout hole" in Quetico Park (no, I'm not telling the gps coordinates, but if you line up the rock on the rock, with the birch trees on shore and the point and the island you have it....)

And off center island....  And maybe a few on Black's beach.
