Gun Cabinet

One of my clients commissioned me to build this for his son. I don't do much furniture any more but this piece was kind of fun, took a little too long though. I am really quite fond of white oak.

Guy must live in a pretty safe area to put his guns out on display like that for the first person to break in.

I know what you mean, in fact I told them they should think about getting a safe instead when they first contacted me about this job.

You did a phenomenal job roony.  I have teenagers so mine are in a safe but some day I'll have em on display with something like that. Any thoughts of putting a light in it?

Me, I wouldn't worry so much about my kids as their friends or the general population. 

Of course my kids are grown now.

great work, you really nailed it with that bottom drawer with that figure.

Brought a tear to my eye. 17 years ago for Christmas I made my dad a gun cabinet for him.  I put a plaque on the inside that said "Merry Christmas. Love, Matt"  

Matt was my first sone born Dec 16 that year and was the only chance to pass on the last name we have since my dad was youngest and I was youngest.  Dad died in September

Great work I'm sure you made someone very happy.
