Get rid of urine smell

I "had" a cat and it turned my collapsed portable into its litter box. Hence the reason why I no longer have a cat amongst other reasons. Anyway, how do I get rid of the awful urine smell? Would it work to take it to a laundry mat with a big washer?

Good luck, cat pee is awful. Would try dousing with a solution of 1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, 1/4 cup Baking Soda, 1 teaspoon liquid soap....let it sit for awhile, give it a wash, don't dry ....and rinse and repeat.

Try cat enzyme cleaner, worked on carpet & floorboards. Check out a petsmart or pet store they should have it. Good luck, cat urine is the worst!

That is what is recommended for getting rid of skunk on animals. Don't know if it would work on cat urine but the stuff is easy to get and inexpensive. Can't hurt anything to give it a try.

I'd do the skunk remedy and do it at a car wash where you can bring it in their garage so you don't have to deal with it at home.

There is a product called Natures Miracle that you can get at any big box pet store. It breaks down the enzymes in the urine that leave the smell. It has worked well when we had a puppy and kitten in the house.

It would probably be easier to deal with than the baking soda as you wouldn't need to rinse it. Its more or less a spray on and let dry type thing.
