Our camper will get a little activity during hunting season, but I will still do all the winterizing now.

I prefer to blow out all the lines with air to winterize my camper. I empty all the P-traps and add RV antifreeze to all the drains. I also open all of the faucets.

I have had a couple minor issues in years past and they are all easy to solve.

1. P-traps. Either flood them with antifreeze or dump them first.

2. Faucets. One year I mustve left a little bit of water in there and the faucet froze and broke at the mixing valve.

3. Dont forget the water filter and the patriculate filter on the water pump. Dump both of those and leave them off so air can circulate to let any excess water evaporate.

4. Water heater. Once I've done all the blowing out, I remove the anode rod and open the vent to let air circulate.

5. Leave all low point drains open.

With this method I've solved all the little maintenance needed at startup in the spring. I get by with 1-2 gallons of antifreeze and super easy to clean and start up in the spring.
