Trashed aluminum boat or canoe?

Where's the best place to get one? Seriously? I'm looking for one to put in my turnaround and fill with dirt and flowers as a planter. I've been checking the C list and not much out there in my area. I called the local junkyard and they said they have some and they'd sell me one for the price of aluminum per pound. The guy was like, but you wont want to pay that! Ha.

I think you answered your own question. If you want one you will have to pay scrap value.

Henderson Minnesota herters 14' fiberglass boat posted 19 days ago. Hope this helps. I scraped out an aluminum 14' boat 2 years ago and got $180 so that's the cheapest you'll prolly find one. Good luck.

Call some of the canoe river outfitters. People trash their canoes all the time. Why not put a "wanted" ad on the list. I'm sure someone has a smashed canoe laying around in their back yard. Offer $50 bucks and U haul.

Thanks for the suggestions and yes, not sure why I was focused on aluminum. Fiberglass would work too and could be painted. More likely to get for free. Just don't want wood that will rot. Thanks!

Junk yards get them all the time for scrap aluminum. I think if you called around to a few you'd find what you're looking for. An old resort boat with some faded writing would really have some character and look cool in a landscape. I think most glass boats would just look like junk .

place a "wanted" add on hsolist. I like doing that more then searching for stuff as you're the only person then who knows about said product...less talk also.

Or take a nice drive through lakes or farm country and you'll find a few sitting next to a tree somewhere. Offer to haul it out for them...

Deerminator I might have something for you. Been trying to get rid of a fiberglass ducker for some time. It's actually in good shape and could easily be fixed and used or plant flowers in it!!! If you're still looking PM I'm located in Brainerd.
