Do cats not bite if the river is high?

Well, when it's out of the banks, they tend to be more spread out and hard to find. Plus there's the whole safety issue with all the trees and stuff floating downstream and the fact that that launches can be really hard to launch at during flood times, keeps most folks off the river.

And I thought I might come out of retirement and go after a few mudeyes again this year. Oh well, the fall walleye bite is just around the corner grin

Maybe my basement will be dried out by then too.

I want my river back before its too late... Already suffering from severe side effects.

I hear you man. I went out and bought a whippy little Eagle Claw Ultralight rod the other day at Fleet Farm to hopefully get out to Square Lake for some trout action one of these days. I haven't needed to fish a lake in over 2 years since moving to River Falls, and I had JUST gotten a pile of new gear for catfishing the entire summer!!! crycrycry
