A Fish Cleaning Station at Home

Just finished a project that I have been dreaming about for years. A real fish/deer cleaning station of my own

The previous homeowner built an 8'x 2' closet in the garage that has been a clutter magnet for me. I finally put that space to a good use. No more cleaning fish in the kitchen or on the tailgate, or lugging tubs of venison upstairs to the kitchen.

Fortunately I had a water pipe near (under the foyer crawl space) to tap into. I plan to leave the water line live year round (heated garage), but if not, the water line stubbed in is a freeze proof garden spigot (drains if the hose is disconnected).

It is hard to tell in the pics but it is sloped towards the wall and towards the sink to self drain.

I plan to beef up the shelf above it so it can hold all of the meat processing equipment. I also plan to buy or build a rolling cart that will fit under the counter top to set meat tubs on during processing. At some point in time I will add a water heater as well. So far I have less than $200 into it.

Hope this gives you fellas some ideas! It's a win-win with the Misses too

Very cool. My brother in-law built a pretty sweet fish cleaning station when he built his new house in the garage. Similar set up you have, with a stainless sink.

Awesome. We just moved into a brand new home and I had them put a laundry tub in the garage. I haven't finished building my cleaning tables for it but that's what I had in mind when we built.
