Aurora from Saturday Night

As I was leaving work at 2:30 Am, my smart phone's Northern Lights alarm went off, so I ran home and grabbed my gear and some warm clothes and shot them until the sun comes up, as you will see in the picture with the tree. Northern Lights on the west side and sun coming up in the East.

Well there is one advantage of working late at night Paul! Chumba the app I use is called Aurora Alert, paid app in the Play Store. There are some free ones out there but I found most of them to be less than perfect.

I have a Droid phone and there are about 5 free apps, and the one I use the most is Auroa Alerts, it will send me text when it hits a certain level.

I get the aurora alerts too. Saturday is looking good. Might be a lot of sightings on opener. - if it's not too cloudy
