I used gulp for years with good success still carry a couple of bottles with. Northland bro bug and bloodworm work good. Never had much luck with the impulse line trying some other new rands this year again that are working good Wisconsin panfish plastics. Get on a good bite to try something new you'll be set.

I have 8-10 brands in a dozen styles and every color I can get all have their time and place....

I'm starting to amass a fair collection of plastics with several different brands, colors, sizes and shapes. My go to has been the nuggie because its the first one I've used so I'm most comfortable with it.

Does anyone have any advice for when to use the different sizes and shapes?

Those little atom semi-translucent glow things light up like a christmas tree fyi. I've caught a lot of fish on those and the new clam maki (one that looks like a squid) have proven to be quite effective thus far.

I did a little experiment a couple days ago with gills and grabbed one of those squid lookin maki and pulled off all the tentacles except the center one and jigged it like any other plastic.Caught a couple that way.just something new I tried
