jiffy propane leaking

so i just got this new auger this year, used it 3 times. i left 2 tanks that were brand new hooked up to it after i drilled 9 holes, and they were both empty the next time i wanted to use it

anyone else have this issues and what does a guy do?

I'm on my third season with mine and mine just started leaking about a week ago as well. Tried calling Jiffy today but unfortunately they are closed for the holiday. I do have a question though. How did you hook 2 tanks up?

i didnt hook up 2. i meant that i hooked one up drilled holes and then went home and then did it over again and went threw the 2

Buddy bought one a couple years ago and after it emptied a couple bottles while it was in his SUV he told Jiffy they could have it back. They gave him a new one and same thing happened. He got his money back.

This seems like an odd problem for a reputable company. Even my $20 Coleman lanterns don't have issues leaking. Or does this have something to do with the high pressure system?

I wonder if it has something to do with cold temps. If I remember right my friends leaked when it was pretty cold out, below 0 anyways. I know our propane forklifts sometimes tend to leak fuel too until the tank warms up.

ya idk......i disconnected the tank this time so i didnt waste another one

I heard the problem was cause because of moisture and freezing the valve open.

I had it as tight as it goes. And once I was done I put in the back of my truck. Now I just take the tank off. Kind of a pain

I'd be surprised if the tank will reseal when you disconnect it especially in cold weather. Let us know what you find out but I have never been able to take a one pound tank off of anything and have it reseal once it's been punctured. I'd make sure it is tight several times and leave it on.

I pull my 1 pounders every time i'm done , havn't had 1 leak,and ive unscrewed and reused the same bottle a bunch of times!!

had this happen to me seems to be a problem with the gasket that meets the propane bottle called jiffy and they sent me a new regulator and told me not to over tighten the bottle. I also unscrew the bottle when I do not use it seems to have fixed the problem for now

Strange. I am in my third season with no issues. Even sits all summer with a tank hooked up. Starts right up every Fall on the same tank left in spring.

Where'd you buy it? Take it back and get another.

The propane lines are cracking by the tank. Jiffy knows about the problem. If you spin off the tank it can't leak out. Two buddies have them both had/ have the same problem. Good luck

Two seasons on mine with no leaking issues. I really like the pro 4.
