Started my auger before I left to go fishing this morning but it would only idel.

So checked the linkage and throttle and decided to spray with WD40.

Started it up again and then it just stopped. Oh oh, now there is a hole in the side of the engine. Is it worth fixing or should I just trash it.

Yep, junk. More than likely, way to much internal damage.

You would be better off selling the auger bit and recouping some of your money towards a new one.

Try selling it on C L for 50bux or 75bux.. Someone will want to fix it up and go thru all the trouble in doing so.

My wifes' son had an outboard with the same problem this summer. It's junk.

I was hoping to pick up a short block but it's a Techumpsa and they went out of business 8 yrs ago. A new power head will cost 350.00
