Into the inky blackness of plan b, or lake #2, much better water clarity, but still no life. No panfish, no baitfish, no pike. And this is a tried and true spot...

We ended the day around 4 pm and with a couple Dorkfish on the line. Nothing brought a pike by us today and even catching something on a jig in deeper water was non existent besides one 12 inch bass. I snapped a quick pic of the hole before reeling up the dekes. It wasn't really that dark - we could still see bottom - but man these guys glowed!

I'm sure looking forward to some colder weather. Spearing in the rain just isn't right. Thinking I might go out Christmas day.

I have even considered painting the underside of the new shack floor black so it's not as visible from under the ice. But that could be over thinking it.

I was THIS close to getting a new snow blower this year. Because I held off, we have just enough snow to bank up here and enough ice to drive. Whew! That was a close one
