Blaze Orange Requirements in Archery Only Area

Is blaze orange required during the muzzleloader season in an area that is restricted to archery only hunting?

It doesn't specify in the regs for archery only areas..

My gut says your OK, but a little orange doesn't hurt either.

Unless something has changed recently, you should be legal WITHOUT orange in archery only areas. Back when I hunted SNWR, this was the case.

I once was hunting in a bow only metro area where no gun hunting is allowed, and the gun season was open in the zone I was hunting. So a game warden finds me in my tree stand without any orange on and asks me why I wasn't wearing my required orange, I proceeded to tell him that gun hunting isn't allowed in the area I was in and didn't think orange was necessary, well he tells me that the law applies to the zone, and the metro area where I was hunting with or without guns didn't matter. He didn't give me a ticket, but told me to wear orange just in case a gun hunter un-knowingly hunting there mistakes me for a deer. So I said "Yes Sir"! And now I wear a orange hat walking into and out of my hunting area just for safety even during the bow season!

I emailed the DNR and they said it is not required in "archery only" areas. Finlander, I have often thought about doing the same during bow season, cant imagine what getting hit with a broadhead would feel like.

Johnsoap14, I don't know what it would feel like, but you would probably run hard for about 7-8 seconds, stop, stagger, fall down and go to sleep.
