tradgedy for AP?

"I steadfastly assert that every man who impregnates a woman bears a degree of moral responsibility for that child's life regardless of whether he knows of the child's existence or not."

You are saying that a man has moral responsibility for something in which he may know nothing about. Can you explain to me just how this happens? How could someone be a "man" and fulfill his responsibilities for said offspring if he doesn't know they exist?

Magic?

You don't find it abnormal that a guy who just lost his biological son to a horrible tragedy/murder isn't in deep mourning and is even considering playing in a football game?

Considering AP's history of playing to cope, no, it's not abnormal at all.

Everyone mourns differently... lucky for us we're not in the public spotlight all the time when we're grieving.

The part that burns me is that the reports focussing on these "other" children are taking focus away from what the real story is.

It is amazing to me how he turned out considering everything that has gone on in his life.

Now this? How do you move on when its your own child? I cannot even imagine what he must be going through.

I hope he recovers and that rat bastard gets what's coming to him for doing this!!!!

Yup! It was always about the tragedy of the child.

Nice that you cherrypicked my posts, but you are misinterpretting "who" I hope recovered. Those comments were made PRIOR to the child dying. So the comment "I hope he recovers" was directed toward the child not Peterson.

How about answering my question from above? I'm not surprised you avoided it considering how ridiculous your comment was. Carry on.

AP reacted just as any sperm donor would.   Little emotion involved.    Tragedy for AP?   Considering what is now known, hardly.    The title of the post should be changed to “Tragedy for Groupie Hoochie mom that AP once hooked up with"

The old school hunter ethics/morals dictated that the hunter be sure of his target and avoid taking the shot if people or property are in the line of fire (should the shot be errant). The man-crush logical system would say it's okay to decide to take the shot at the buck with children playing in the background. In the event the shot misses the intended target, the hunter is exempted from any ethical/moral responsibility for what the bullet hits by avoiding finding out where the bullet went. Your "didn't know" logic seemed fallacious enough that it answered your question without my response.

I'm with Dtro... When I started this thread, I assumed it was AP jr... With that said, it is a huge tradgedy for the child's family... not so much for AP. Not that he wouldnt have some grief, but it's hardly a tradgedy when he had never met him.

Way too prevelent in pro sports... the continuation of fatherless families. (I get it is not a pro athlete phenomonon) It is a culure that slowly degrades our society. SO yes I care. I mentor kids from fatherless families. It in not as innocent as it seems. Throwing money at the mother of the child is little recourse. The children need to be Fathered. If he has time to hop in the wrapper with the Babes, he has time to be in his kids life.

I care less about the 'value' of APs entertainment, than I do about some little kid getting killed. I care less about his value as a RB in the NFL, than I do if becomes a DAD to each of the kids he helped bring into the world...

People ripped on Travis Henry and Shawn kemp for doing the same thing because they weren't Golden Boys like AP...

Good Luck!

Ken

have I or anyone ever said he is exempt from his moral responsibility? I surely have not. Creating a baby and wounding someone from an errant shot is a heckuva correlation. If you take the shot and injure someone you should be held responsible. But if the person is injured and never seeks medical attention or reports the problem are you to just go knocking on doors to make sure you have never hurt someone with your "errant" shot?

Just curious do you go through your gut piles to make sure you remove all lead remnants to make sure its not in jested by some other critter killing it due to lead poisoning? I'm quite sure you don't. Leave it be...out of sight out of mind. Just like what appears to have happened to ap until 2 months ago.

A long way? 7 kids not sure how many mommas... He's definitely closing the gap!

He just had a 3 month old daughter, with a waitress, while he's living with his fiancé' and other son...

Again... A long way?

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
