DrJuice1980
I'm pretty sure that Sullivan would know if the blocking schemes had changed. Plus they would have only had 3 days to implement such changes from the last game. I don't think so. Ever heard of a halftime adjustment? I'm pretty sure everybody on that line knows what down block, pull, and trap mean. They've been doing that since junior high. And I'm sure they have those types of schemes in the play book, they just weren't implementing them
Big Dave2
Ever heard of a halftime adjustment? I'm pretty sure everybody on that line knows what down block, pull, and trap mean. They've been doing that since junior high. And I'm sure they have those types of schemes in the play book, they just weren't implementing them So you're telling me that in the Vikings first 8 games this season they didn't utilize any down blocking, pulling or trapping but they just implemented these techniques in the second half of game 9? For some reason I find that hard to believe.
CaptainMusky
Maybe they actually succeeded in accomplishing those blocks? Execution has been an issue most of the season.
DrJuice1980
Typically plays are called with certain words that trigger the play each individual out there is suppose to do. Example: a Trap block: I right 23 "Tango". "Tango" would be the trigger for a trap block. Playbooks are loaded with these "phrases" so players don't need to know every single play but know what they are suppose to do every single play. To say the Vikings had no plays that incorporated any of those blocking techniques until the 2nd half of their week 9 game is just crazy. What most likely happened was that during halftime they made the changes to implement those schemes more, and again these guys have been practicing those techniques since junior high or even before that so no it shouldn't be hard to believe. corncob
Drew Brees made my mouth water last nite for a quarterback of his ilk.
YiGGiN4SLoBS
Give it up juice, they didn't do anything different. Our coaches aren't smart enough to figure out how to run a 3 wr set or a screen pass. They didn't do anything different. They NEVER do anything different
Hester
The only thing they did different was they actually executed a few more plays than normal. That's it.
DrJuice1980
I don't know how you guys do it but I guess I can try. Next game I will only watch the QB/RB exchange and the QB drop backs. Should make for a fun and exciting game. Then I will come on here and post: "Man those Vikes stink! Man Ponder can throw! This D can't stop anybody!" I won't elaborate as to why they can't do anything only that it didn't happen. I'll have to jus dig for a way to bring it down to you alls remedial level. Then we'll be able to understand eachother. LMITOUT
Absolutely. I would like to know if that 31% who are voting for Manziel have never watched him play, as you have claimed.

CaptainMusky
I would like to know your predictions on manziels pro game? Actually stick your neck out there for something and share your wealth of football knowledge. This way you can either legitimately chest thump or look like a chump. DrJuice1980
To validate my statement about blocking scheme adjustment I went back and watched a few offensive sets (I know, what a nerd). For Sullivan to say there wasn't a change made is completely mind boggling. He was the one who changed the most. He finally left the line of scrimmage! Him and Fusco. There was a HUGE difference it play and scheme. Watch it for yourself if you want to nerd out like me. Watch them go back to their old dull ways, that would be so typical of these coaches. LMITOUT
I would like to know your predictions on manziels pro game? That's a question that cannot be answered by anybody about any player. If someone can accurately make those predictions (for any player) they'll be a wealthy person.
