Fishing Rod Information Request

Hi!

I recently acquired a baitcast rod that I was told was made in MN, but didn't really have a Company name or address on it or with it. It is a

Fig Rig Carbon Classic 6"6" Med/Hvy L10-20 LW3/8-1oz. That is all that is on it. Seems like a nice rod with pretty good action and good sensitivity. Currently have 15lb. Fluoro. on it for a worm rod. Anybody know anything about this brand/company? Just curious. Thanks!

it sounds like it is a custom made rod. If I were you I would post this same thread in the rod building thread. with all the rod builders on this site they might have a better insight as to where it was made or who made it.

I think a guy in the Grand Rapids MN area makes them or used to make them.

Thanks to everyone who answered. I'll have to do a little more research, but it seems to be a nice rod. Just wanted to know a little more about its "Roots"!

Seems more to be of the crank bait sort of rod? try a 7footer+ fast action for your worm rig. you may like it more

Fig Rig rods are very well made rods.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Fig Rig Rods go out of business, and the Tooth Tamer name was sold to another rod manufacturer? It's been quite awhile since I heard/ read about this.

Yes I believe they are no longer made. Too bad because they were a decent rod.
