Non-smudge ball point pen?

I'm also a lefty but my hold on the pen doesn't "curl" over the top like many lefties do. I hold the pen just like most righties do.

I do A LOT, I mean a A LOT of writing in my job filling out inspection reports and have found TUL (pronounced tool) pens to be one of the best writing. The medium tips will tend to smudge a little but the needle fine points are my go-to pen. Especially when it comes to marking up/numbering cluttered blue-prints. They can be a little pricey but when you spend as much time as I do with a TUL in your hand blush you want the best.

Lefty also. The best pen I have ever found is a Waterman Phileas ball point. I have had the same pen for over 10 years (I also bought a back-up back when they were cheap on The Bay of E). It is perfect for me. Refills are spendy at about $8.00 per when you can find them at retailers. I prefer the blue ink so it is off to the shopping site named after a large South American river and they are much less expensive. One refill lasts me around six months and I have to write A LOT for work. I don't "hook it" so my hand drags right over what was just written without picking up a drop of ink. It is the best ink I have ever found for lefties.

Dear fellow Lefties. Thanks for the good tips regarding pens. We have suffered too long. The Uniball is a good choice but since I fish, I am intriqued by the Waterman that was mentioned. Guess I will have to search Bays and South American locales for one of those. Thanks again. I, too, have to do a lot of writing and it's always good to find a great writing instrument.

I have been using a TUL since reading this as I had one in my drawer of pens and I have to agree that my smudges have been very minimal if at all...Thanks for the tip fellow Lefties!!!

I buy my own Tul pens, cause the company buys the cheap ole bic, hard writing, tear the paper pens. If the girls in the office see a new pen in my pocket they are doing nearly anything they can to get me to give in to them. I am not cheap but can be bought with mexican food. Cant go wrong with a Tul in your hand.

I know what you mean. The ladies where I work determined the company was going to buy TUL from now on.

Lefty here also. I hated using pens until my wife bought some Uni-ball jetsteam pens. The ink dries so faster than most other pens that smudges are not a problem anymore. They are about $10 for a three pack at most stores.

Bought some and they don't smear, but they seem to make my poor penmanship even worse.
