Can you feel that? My ducky senses are tingling

Today's high in Fargo was 70. Cool north breeze puts that closer to 65-66. Feels and smells like fall.

That gave me an itch, so I scratched it by re-rigging a bunch of decoys from the old keel-wrap weights to Texas rigs. Form, meet function.

To top it all off, I stumbled on someone selling an acrylic Tim Ground Super Mag for $45. I feel like a thief. But boy, does she sound sweet. Like a hungry, horny honker ready to make some sweet, sweet music.

And guess what? The grain fields around town are getting that ever-so-slight brown tinge to their tops. The inevitable cutting will occur soon.

I'm getting jumpy. Having a hard time typing when my trigger finger keeps curling spontaneously.

Hehe...hehehehe....hehehehehehehe....hehehehehehehehehehehe!

It was low 50's this morning when I went to work. Sure didn't seem like July. I've never got real excited about duck hunting but now that I'm living in NoDak so close to prime duck hunting land I'm really looking forward to getting back into it.

I'm going off the deep end, there's currently a duck and goose hunting dvd in the tv at the archery shop I work at...boy do all our customers seem confused! Anyways can't wait to spend the weekend of august 10th chasing honkers for the intensive harvest, and seeing everything there is to see at the game fair in Anoka! It's right around the corner can't wait

Ha, I did the same thing yesterday! Got off work at 5, which almost never happens. Found an outstanding deal on 2 doz ghg floating honkers and a brand new Foiles honker call & picked them up. Then i put on 160 miles, just driving around looking at broods. Gotta love a car that gets 40 mpgs, makes scouting a heck of a lot cheaper. Holy cow are there ducks this year!!!! After dark I got home & i shoulda went to bed cuz i started work at 5am today, but instead i restrung my new dekes. Half of em i switched to Texas & half left normal for when I hunt the river & some deeper lakes. Man, I'm twitching!! My new Beretta cant wait to pull on something alive, she's getting tired of breaking clays.

I was fishing on Whitefish Chain on Saturday morn... in my Arctic Armor suit! It was cold! Did have the fall, duckin' feel to it. I aimed my rod at a couple mallards flying over wink

I got the itch too! Been doing more realistic training with my lab as a vice. Canoeing out on the lake with a bag of dekes, throwing them out, setting him on a ruff stand, jacking him up with a call and then throwing the bumper!

Also flushed 8-10 young pheasants from a single spot last night on a walk (not intentional!). I'm really glad they flew away eek But didn't help my bird fever one bit
