upnorth
I know there is an app to download data from the samsungs I would assume htc offers similar. Not sure if it would be compatible with the iphone tho.
outdoors247
You should be able to go to your providers store and have them do it. I switched from a HTC EVO to a iPhone5 last fall and they were able to transfer everything except my pictures and apps.
fishkins
Am I the ONLY one on the planet who thinks this I-phone 5 is JUNK. Got one 2 months ago and been battling with T-Mobile ever since. It does all kind of stuff like e-mail, text, weather but just try to make a PHONE CALL,,,sounds like a tin can on a string with someone gargling on the other end.Goes from 1 bar to 3 bars then to no service and this is 1 mi. from a tower, so they're telling me. The last tech I talked to said that because of a storm that happened 100 mi. north of me LAST YEAR it's causing my problems.
luckydog25
I think the sound on the iphone 5 is second to none, my work truck is has loud exhaust where it would be tough to hear me if I was on the highway. With the iphone 5 it blocks background noise. As for the original question, your provider should be swap everything except the apps for you. I go through ATT, I would be calling your provider, and complaining to them about your service. I also dont have any issues with reception bouncing around. fishkins
Tried talking to T-mobile, in fact I've spent HOURS trying to resolvethe problem, they're finally after 2 months of back and forth going tosend out a new phone. I really can't believe I let myself get suckedinto their scam again. Lousy service lousy coverage just like talkingto a Carney when you're dealing with them. LundProAngler
There is a good reason why Verizon costs the most. iPhone 5 user here with Verizon and no problems whatsoever. The problem is not the phone, it is the carrier. No, I do not work for Verizon, I just make my monthly payment to them.
Gordie
Used upnorths advise and found out that there is a app for that really I had to email my contacts to my new phone then the apt downloaded them into my contact list. The guy at AT&T told me to text them but he was talking about my new phone so when I turned it on I de-activated my old sim card and most of my stuff can not be transferred but my contacts could be. I only had one app that I really used and it was Navionics so I will purchase that again for my iphone Oh well up and running and that's what counts. I tried Verizon and it was junk in my area, I had no luck with it at all. No service with Verizon at my house and ATT does.
schmitty3
T-Mobile is a joke. I finally got out of my contract with them, and have not had a problem since. I wouldn't get service from my house when every other carrier would get full service. Also it seemed like I would drop every other call because of them. Then you factor in there terrible customer service and it was an easy decision.

The cool thing is I can use wifi calling, so no big deal. They also roam on AT&T up north so I can use my phone there. I can create a wireless hotspot for my ipad for free too.I save a bunch each month and so for now I will be sticking with them a while longer. Though not perfect, I'm able to work through the issues and it works for me... at least for now.
fishkins
I dumped T-Mobile and went to AT&T, problem solved. The people at AT&Tsaid the lease on their towers with T-Mobile ran out and they refused torenew, so there lies the problem I was having with my I-Phone. Scott K
ATT has improved a lot over the past 2 years, there still are bad spots, but they all have them.
