I heard this today as well. Too bad. I liked Tim on Storm Chasers as he was always the calm, calculated chaser and seemed to back off from a chase when it was getting too rough, not wanting to put themselves into danger. A little easier to watch/listen than Reed Timmer's constant yelling and theatrics.

This tornado was nasty. I was watching it on Friday and one the Weather Channel's chase trucks got swept off the highway and rolled a few times. The truck was smashed but everyone got out OK. Apparently the inflow winds were terrific and caught a lot of chasers off guard.

Just to be clear, it was actually a 4 door sedan, not a truck.

Its a sad deal anyone perished in this and yes I agree the twistex team Tim especially seemed to be the most cautious of the chasers.

After seeing what happened to Mike Bettes I couldn't help but think hypocrite or maybe he has a new found appreciation for how unpredictable these things are. Like two years ago he was very outspoken about storm chasers.
