Chance of Rain in the Morning

If it's raining (and cool) in the morning is that going to deter you from hitting the water first thing? I'm not a fan of getting wet, but I'm thinking if I can do it for @#$!& walleye, which is not my fish of choice, then I surely can do it for BASS (fish of choice! grin). How 'bout the rest of you? Are you going to watch it rain from inside or while casting, casting, casting?

I won't be getting up to the lake until late morning, so hopefully it is done raining by then. I'll be fishing a small lake without much pressure, so if it is still raining good, I will wait it out a bit. Only problem with that is I will get put to work around the shack with some spring cleaning chores. I hope it isn't raining!

On the water now.

Lipless crank bite has been good since about 12:30am.

Fish are right where I thought they would be.

Will only fish until 9am or so then head home, take a 4 or 5 hour nap and then I have to work Tonight, will be on the water around 4am Sunday for 3 or 4 hours and work Sunday Night then I have Monday to Thursday to fish.

Well time to get back after them!

No rain here but a 25 mph South East wind. On this particular lake there is really no good place to hide from a SE wind. Was able to get on the lake at 11:00 and got tired out and blown off at 12:30. Had 18 fish over 16" in that hour and a half. With three being 18.5, 19, and 19.5, all footballs. I'd say I had a good opener. Just wish I could get back out but the wind is absolutely horrible and don't want to get thrown into 52 degree water.
