is quick silver boat oil ok?

hi the blue store quit carrying evinrude brand oil. is quick silver a cheap brand or name brand and is it ok to use.

Been using Quicksilver brand for quite a few years in my Merc and my Mariner and never had any trouble. It is a good quality product

wallmartt sells penzoil syntetic blend for $20-$25 a gallon. I run penzoil full-syntetic marine from menards that was I think $28.

Yes, in fact it wasn't until a few years back they actually put the Mercury brand name on the packaging. It all said quicksilver.

so is this safe for a evinrude older models 1977 78? if boat fixer says run it i will. i dont have any boat dealers close. so i get it from the blue store. all they have is quick silver or super tech and i dont care for that stuff. does it matter if its a synthetic blend or no. my wife found some evinrude oil today at blue store its super premium synthetic very light brown is this any good? i thought synthetic was only for oil injected thanks for the help
