prov1900
Leaving tomorrow night with 5th wheel and driving about 90 miles. Site is open, but water is turned off there. Plan on filling at home because there wont be an opportunity closer. Is it ok to trip that far with the added weight? Is it ok on the water tank? Eric Wettschreck
I've done it and it didn't seem to hurt anything.Iffin you're heading my way you can always fill from my place.
Ryan_V
Why would it not be ok? that's what the water tank is there for, to haul water!
Wish-I-Were-Fishn
Are you maxed out payload wise now?
upnorth
The tanks are designed to be used and run with a tank of water. We do it all the time in our 5th wheel as many places we go don't have water available.
Powerstroke
Its designed to have water in it. You'll be fine. When we head to off the grid spots we always fill the tanks at home. Also seems to tow a little nicer with the added tongue weight.
prov1900
Are you maxed out payload wise now? We are 14K dry and as much stuff as my wife puts in there we had to be close. Made it no problem. (We took a gps recommended turn and came up to an 8 ton weight limit bridge. I got out and walked on it while deciding if we were going to cross...and I was freaked out standing on it. Had to back up 1 mile, uphill on gravel to change routes. That was fun. @ Eric. Went south this time but still planning on your opener. Still have room in boat for you...unless you think I need an auger and shack...lol
