Not sure where I'll find time to work on it either... but it is in my posession and was free!

Walleyehooker
If it is double walled and well insulated which it probably is I would go electric. Much easier to install.
Dark Cloud
Now im worried... A buddy built one out of the same fridge, says it has foam insulation. Im reading bad things about the foam insulation and toxic fumes at higher temps. He's only doing fish at low temps. I'd like to be able to run slightly higher temps. Guess I gotta research some more and start taking this thing apart...
bluewater2
If it has foam watch out. I work in a foam fabrecation Dept. and the Fire Dept. is told, if our area starts on fire let it burn and we are told to get out and dont stop to help anyone. The fumes are really bad.Maybe you can remove the foam ? If not, get something different. Sorry
bluewater2
Just to let you know I work with polyethalene and polyurathene. Not sure if I spelled that right but they are both real bad for fumes.
