Bass boat

In search of my first bass boat, I'm looking at a Triton TR186 with a 150 merc. Just wondering for an opinion of any Triton owners out there on this model.

There is sharp looking one out there in a dark I believe it had a Yamaha though

I had a 186 with a Yamaha. It was a single console so it fished really nice for a smaller boat. It was a nice looking boat and pretty fast for its size. My only complaint was that it backwashed pretty bad if I took it off plane too quick.

I have a 99 TR-18 with a 150 merc on it and I love it. Of course I want a 20fter but this does everything I need. Triton makes a very solid boat.

TR 186 has always been a good boat. They do backwash a lot, so keep that in mind. and stay away from the 150 XR6

How fast do those usually run? Do they take waves nice?

I had a 186 with 150 Johnson.. Loaded it ran mid 50's, empty I had it to 62-63...

Why stay away from the xr6 merc? Im buying one with that motor. I heard they were dam near bullet proof.

Cecil, the one I was looking at is sold, dragged my feet. I have not seen the one in Brainerd, is there a HSOforum that shows that boat.

Ok, I'm looking at a 1998 Astro 1850X with a Mariner 150DFI, thing looks spotless, just don't know much about Astro boats, all I know is they no longer make them.

My dad had a 94 Astro with a 150 merc and from what I heard it was a really rough ride.
