Ice house rental ideas- that are not the popular lakes

i'm thinking about taking the wife out on a weekend to stay on the ice for a night or 2; no interest in Red, LOTW, or Mille lacs; anyone have any other ideas or options?

Rent and go ice house would be ideal, but the place i know of in brainerd charges the same amount as if we were staying on the ice.

Could try Leech of come south west to the Alex area...i think Minniwaska does rentals i believe.

Chartered Rentals LLC offers what you are looking for. South of you though.

You can rent the house on the lake or pay a tad more and take it where you want.

Try your local tool and trailer rental places. Some do have them, most don't, worth a shot though.

If you're just looking for some fun fishing and not after monsters that roam LOTW, you could try Norway Lake near New London. There's a certain resort where you can see the "Sunset" from the "Shores." They did a story in the local paper on how they have several nice fish houses available for rent. Most resorts in our neck of the woods don't do that. In fact, I can't think of any others close by. Anywhoo just do a search on the West Central Tribune HSOforum. The article has all the specifics, including average costs.

I am looking for the same thing right now. I did come across chartered rentals. That look good, but the lake I am going to is north of Brainerd.

There used to be a lot of listings on that free listing site.

Where in Brainerd do they rent-n-go?

there is some on minnewaska for sure, fish on bait & sport in glenwood he is a good guy, i belive he has cameras 4 rent also so u can see whats down there. if u dont have one it makes it more entertaining
