Bachelor Party

There's a bunch of them up near Ely that have great winter rates. My brother and I had our joint bach parties up there a couple years back and it was a blast. We didn't want to lug a keg up there, so the common joke the whole weekend was:

"Hey guys, I'm a little worried about the beer supply. After this case, and the other case, there's only 12 cases left!"

I have to ask, why not Mille Lacs? Bad experience?

No, actually I've always had a great experience at ML, but I just had my bach party there in July and the groom's BIL had his there this past summer too, so looking for something a little bit different.

I would recommend going on a for rent by owner HSOforum and looking at log cabins. As long as your not all 21 and going to puke all over the guys place you can rent huge retreats for around 500-1000k a night with 25 guys that like 100 bucks each for the weekend and you'll have your own place with your own rules so you can't keep people up who are not part of the party.

We did this for my BP back in 2009 had 18 guys some had snow machines everyone had lots of ice fishing gear at one point we had a huge fire built on the ice with about 20 tip ups fanned out all around us. Then one of the guys from IL came blowing through on one of the snowmobiles and ran over about 5 tip up's

We went on a Bach party last year ( I was best man) and we went to leech lake, late ice hopeing for some nice perch. The fishing sucked but the party was awesome. We went out of big rock resort, the cabin we rented slept 12 or 14 very comfortably, and there was a cabin just across the way so the two could be connected technically. There were also hot tubs there and that was a great thing to retreat to along with some awesome big screen tv's and a great kitchen to eat. They had grills there to cook on, although it did not mention that we needed charcoal but the owners supplied us with charcoal and it all worked out. I would reccomend again becuase it was quiet and we partied like rock stars and never had any calls or anything, he also had day shacks available, but we did portables out every day. I would go again to the resort, the casino also will send a shuttle out to anyone that wants to go to the casino or whatever. If they would take us, we would go back again i think in a heart beat. and hey the guy is still married...
