more of a buzz but the ting was set on 4 of 4 so it was set for water over 40 ft and i was testing it in a 5 gallon bucket it was just louder than i expected. it was a soft clicking outside the water but when i put it in the water it got louder. its almost dead now so i put it on the charger i will try again later

Love that avatar Aaron.. Think I saw your better half and a friend of hers fishing out of your Alaskan this summer without you!

You enjoying Europe are ya? Gonna be around this coming Spring?

I'll be back in the Spring; just in time to sneak in a few trips to the Rainy. Sent you an email, let me know if you didn't get it!

cool last question would being in the bucket make objects not show up ? its in like 1.5 or 2 ft water and it reads 3.5 and i cant get a jig or even a depth bomb on a line to show up?

Try taking it to a lake and put it in the water off a dock or a pier.

how can you tell what version its running at?

turn the unit on and press the menu button. once the menu screen comes up got to the systems setting option and press the menu button this will bring up the setting screen. at the top of this screen it willl list what version you have. you need to upgrade to 2.9 if you don't have it.
