Yea I am rethinking sites that give out outdoor info to the outdoors folks but all of the site have turned to Facebook and those that are die-heart fans of the site do not get in on these give a ways everything for give a ways is now Facebook fans only and for those that can not get to the site because they do not have access are left out in the cold.

OK I will get off the soap box now, but the folks that operate this forum THANKS for thinking about the folks that made this site a success and not the folks on facebook.

FearNoFish, while I understand part of your point, please know this. Facebook has become not only a way to also interact, but more so and place to market. Market products and market sites like this. Although there are many many users who are the greatest part of HSO, much like yourself, there are many many more who may not know about HSO already. So by doing a little "Marketing" of their own, HSO is able to show not only current great contributing users like yourself this site, a little contest for some jigs can bring many many more here. That will bring you even more great trials, and user perspective and many more hot bite tips from people who haven't had the opportunity yet to be part of HSO. In the end, that is really the biggest free gift we all get here.... the users are the speakers! Congrats, you really win.

Joining Facebook takes about as much effort as it does to join this one. If you don't want to be a part of Facebook then you can't enter in the contest. Ever heard the saying "There is no such thing as a free lunch."

People getting ticked off because they can't win a couple bucks in free jigs, I think this recent election has made some people pretty irritable about free stuff being handed out. I'm "that guy" that brings it all back to politics, I'm ashamed of myself.
