Looks like an awesome trip. I thought the gunflint was all canoe and portage lakes. I should look into taking a trip up there with my boat

It was a great trip. There are quite a few lakes off the gun flint trail that have public access. A lot of great fishing up there.

Two Island Lake, Devil Track Lake, Crescent Lake, Hungry Jack Lake, Greenwood Lake, McFarland Lake, Loon Lake, West Bearskin Lake, Sea Gull Lake (10 HP limit), Saganaga (25 HP limit). There's probably several other lakes I'm forgetting. Not every one of those lakes are off the gunflint trail, but close enough. All have good bass fishing, some offer laker fishing as well as big pike.
