Scott K
What I use to do is just take the meat, boil it to get some of the greese out of it, then fry it in oil, and flour, and add seasoning to your likings. If you fry it until it is done, they taste good like that. Or if you boil it, until it is almost done, then throw it in the crock pot, with some veggies, and make a stew out of it. I usually do a couple at a time, and make some of each, since I am smelling my house up with turtle anyhow, might as well make a big batch. B-man715
Thanks for all of the ideas! I'm looking for something that can be pre-made and just reheated. That gumbo sounds like the ticket Save the shell to make a cool clock for the garage / hunting shack. That sounds like a great idea! Screw putting it in the garage. I'm gonna make a clock for the living room!! It will fit in great with all of the other dead stuff on the walls I have a big shell from a couple years ago (no clock) in the computer/office room. I cleaned it and tossed a couple coats of poly on it. Looks neat!! Thanks again guys!
OnAFly
That's awesome! I never thought of something like that. I contemplated taking a turtle just to see what it tasted like but just never got around to it. I might have to go turtle hunting
