llcooljc
I've gotten a little further. The outside is now complete. On to the inside.
llcooljc
The inside work has begun. Hopefully this weekend I can get quite a bit further. The pine should go quick. (but nothing ever goes as quick or easy as originally thought)

randerson
Whats with the strap hanging from the ceiling ?
llcooljc
let's just say the save big money store does not necessarily sell straight boards. I had to use the strap to persuade some of the boards to go where i wanted them.
rebel102285
What did you wind up paying per sqft for the pine? I am looking at doing my new build in cedar but that will run about $1500.($1.99 per sq ft)

May get it cheap, but cheap reflects quality too.
llcooljc
It was approx. $350. Lot of dump left over though...and I do mean dump. Straight to the firepit it goes! At least I'll have a few beers while watching it burn

slammer
Nice bright lights inside. What kind are they? LED?
Iambjm
It looks great, did you use the thicker tongue and groove or the thin stuff.
llcooljc
yes, the lights are led. I went 100% led for battery usage...dam pricey though I used the thicker tongue and groove because I wanted to be able to nail/screw wherever I wanted. magicstix
Looks awesome!! Is that rear door spring assist or cable or nothing? If nothing, how heavy is it to lift?
llcooljc
spring assist. (torsion on the bottom) it lifts very easy.
Hawg
How hard is it to get that diamomd plate to fit that weird angle where the V front meets the flat side?
llcooljc
It is real easy...assuming the stuff is bent with a brake to the correct angle. I had some issues with the front piece not being bent quite right. Basically it forced me to use a couple self tapping screws.
llcooljc
furnace and burners now in and working. fuse box also in. not sure if the tv is going on top or in between yet... lol (outlet is just tacked in since i am not sure where i want it yet)
Scoldy_Nation
Awesome job on the build so far! Did you use a regular 120v dimmer switch to dim the led lights in the ceiling? Also, I'm going to be fabricating a drop axle setup for my house and I'm wondering how you decided to build yours? I looked at the frame picture but I couldn't really see what components you used. llcooljc
FYI - This shack is for sale due to the family now wanting to snowmobile instead of icefish. Frankly I am mad about having to get rid of it, but an unhappy mother bear makes the whole den unhappy. Fished in more than 20 below with about 30-40mph winds and was in shorts without shoes and toasty warm. Holler if you want to see finished pics etc. Would also trade for 4 place enclosed trailer.
