Bryce
Saw my first road side stand yesterday in Windom on my way home from work. Took me off guard and traffic was kind of heavy for a guy in hurry to turn around. Seems early but I'll take it. Will definitely be stopping next Saturday. Dotch
My neighbor's Spring Treat tasseled last week so there should be some ready possibly for the 4th given the ideal growing conditions thus far.

Bryce
Just drove past a stand here in Worthington. Sure didn't look like the type of operation that sells imported corn. Old pickup bed trailer with a tarp for shade. Hope to get a chance to stop by later and find out.

Leaky
If you live in the North Burbs and haven't been to the corn stand on 93rd Ave & 169 Champlin/Brooklyn Park border, it is time. I stopped today and they were selling husks as fast as it could come down the conveyor belt, being sprayed with water as it rumbled down and picked a couple of hours ago. There aren't many places in the Cities that do it like this. Google this intersection and view it via sattelite and you'll see what I mean. They had the kids out selling and Mom supervising. Tip jar is the college fund. Love it!!!!! I tried some corn yesterday from one of the multiple stands you see throughout the Cities and there is just no comparison. Soaked it for an hour in husk and threw it out on the grill with chicken thighs. Fabulous!!It's here......

stoneeyes317
Here in Northfield the Bridgewater Produce Farm on the west edge of town has had corn since some time last week. I picked up 6 last Thursday to give it a try and we liked it so much that I picked up 6 more yesterday. Like Leaky I soaked it for a while and then threw it on the BGE...eyes317
