There was a smile, I guess we missed that shot. It was 6:30 a.m. and it was only my 4th cast when I caught her and YES I was pumped , I could have posted the picture of mye kissing the fish, but I went with this one. I'll call you this week and maybe we can get out. I'm going to try and get out tonight.

Good night on a metro lake, this is my brother-in-laws's 45"er. He had another one about the same size up to the boat an another one hit him at the boat. I had two follows and one mid 40"s jump right out of the water on my top raider but he whiffed. Fished from about 2-7. Perfect conditions, should only be getting better from here on out. Sorry if the pic is blurry, it's cause it was from a camera phone and it was raining.

It's a nice healthy looking fish. However, the picture and the person take up the whole frame. Also, the person's arms are extended out a fair amount (it doesn't look like it's on purpose in this picture, but the fish is in front of him a good bit). Both of these add up to a bigger looking fish. So... I'd guess 41.

I was just curious to see what other people thought. Its 39" I caught a 42" that looks way smaller than this one in the pic. I'm not sure why though.

You never know how a fish is going to look until you see the picture. I have a picture of a 42" that looks bigger than a 46" I caught. I also have a 47", that looks bigger than one that was 491/2" There are so many variables that can effect how big the fish looks. Light,
camera angle, the way the fish is held, and of course the size of the fish.

Heres a 33" pike i assisted my son, who will be 3 in January, catch. It almost pulled the rod out of his arms. I helped him a little. And a 35" from the same day.
