My favorite early departure memory was when the new york islanders had like two or three gophers a couple years back. They kept basically forcing them to sign early, i think okposo was one, and their reasoning was "Don Lucia doesnt know how to develop players." I think one of their players or management people had that actual quote! Which I found absolutely laughable, especially coming from the New York Islanders! I felt like writing them and saying-First of all, quit drafting gophers then! And speaking of development, who are u to say someone cant develop players? The Islanders have been pure garbage as long as I can remember! YOU GUYS are the ones that cant develop anybody!

Sorry, off topic a little. I just always love that story...

Bjugstad looks like he could play in the NHL right now.... Unfortunantly, i would be surprised if this isnt his last year. Its bound to happen, the gophs lose everyone early

It was Garth Snow talking about Okposo. And I agree Snow, a U Maine goalie, is an I-diot and one of the worst GM's in the NHL. Just look at the Rick "Glass Jaw" DiPietro deal Snow signed.

Come to think of it, Knight is having a nice year, he will probably sign with Florida before that ND frostbite catches up with him. Rowney is undrafted and having a big year too, someone will sign him. Forberts development has stalled, probably going to the AHL or Jrs to get back on track. You guys are screwed. grin

]I wonder fla panthers would think about TB trying to sign their player.

I'm being a smart azz, I know u just mixed it up

Pain pills are killing me. My short term memory is none existent.

Bugstad is only or about to be 19, has a pretty good head on his shoulder, plus a good support staff close to him.(Family)

From what I have heard he is leaning more towards school then money. I hope he stays.

Surprised that Justin Schultz hasn't departed. I think the Ducks has his rights. He'll be a Jr next year.

I think UND has 4 early flight risk one more than likely with Danny Kristo. The others being Brock nelson, Corbin Knight, and Andrew MacWilliams. I think Denver's Jason Zucker is a probable departure also.

I'm also surprised Schultz hasn't left. He still has an outside shot at the Hobey, but I don't think turning pro changes that.

For Duluth, the only flight risk this year is sophomore JT Brown as an unsigned free agent (Flying Hakstols - bam bam bam). Would love to see him play the Blaiser again.
