Minn Kota trolling motor

Have alway had Minnkota trolling motors but never one with the auto pilot for those who have them is it worth the extra money?

What's the difference between the I Pilot and Auto Pilot?

The auto pilot is based on fixing on something in the distance the Terrova has a GPS feature that keeps you on track with less adjustments...Also with it's spot lock, ability to save trails, cruise control are invaluble

How does the GPS feature work what are you setting it with to maintain a course like the auto pilot.

Does the I Pilot have its own gps or does it need to be connected to your boats gps? And are you able to pick the tracks in your gps and follow them?

GPS is in the I Pilot,you record tracks with the trolling motor and it's saved to the TM...

Auto pilot works off a compass and Ipilot works off its own gps. Plus the Ipilot has a lot more handy features. Take a look at it on the minn kota site. You will never regret buying the Ipilot.

I switched from Auto Pilot to a Terrova with I-pilot. It has been great. I would not think of not owning something with I-pilot. It has made fishing easier for me Especially anchor lock in windy conditions the ability to hands free hold you in a spot while you cast or unhook fish is phenomenal. It's worth having for just that feature.

i-Pilot is definately the way to go ...... it does everything the AutoPilot does, it has many more functions than the AutoPilot, and it does it BETTER than the AutoPilot.

Auto pilot is good if you can't afford the ipilot motors. I have auto pilot and co pilot combo and it works great.
