Should the DNR sell "Fred's" Antlers

I love that horn porn, that ended in Minnesota around 1995 in my area. It's bambiland. Not many strained backs since then or get the posse, we got a hog, it's grab it by the leg, lift off the ground, and enjoy your shoebox full of meat later.

I know there are no big bucks in your area, none in my home town area as well....I go hunt elsewheres, and still shoot antlerless each year but always leave a tag open for a nice buck if one happens to come by.

There is more to deer hunting than antlers is all i'm saying.

I guess i grew up hunting with my dad, who never made a mention his whole life about only shooting big antlers, or lack of big bucks..etc. It was always about deer, and not horns.

IMO, the wall of shame is about the dumbest idea ever dreamed up by the DNR. I know that the idea is to show people what people have taken from state, but I really think it shows them what can be had with illegal activity. Since when do we show the spoils of ones illegal activities as a deterrent? If you were trying to stop auto theft, would you show a Porsche and a Mercedes? If you were trying to stop bank robbery would you show a giant pile of cash? How about show Billy Bob sitting in jail or on the couch while all of his buddies are out hunting?

Sell them all and put the money towards their ever growing budget woes. And lower our darn taxes.

And for anyone that wants to sell their antlers that were legally taken, have at it. If selling a set of antlers meant my kid could have his/her college tuition paid for vs having them collecting dust in my basement with some occasional bragging rights...they are gone. I'll brag to my fiends when my kid graduates.
