bad luck

Well i was out fishing tonight had a good time and caught a few crappies but I have ran into some bad luck I lost my phone down the hole again after I just dropped my other one down last week. So long story short I need a way to make sure that it wont happen again any ideas other then not bringing it. I Have never ever lost a phone before so this winter is giving me some trouble.

Keep it in your pocket!!! And a zippered one at that! No reason to be playing with it over the ice hole, you're just asking to lose it.

I've not had this happen to a phone as I always keep it on the inside pockets...

For my camera though, I have a clip on lanyard that I use to wrap around the strap. It clips onto my AA jacket.

Prior to the AA suit, I just used a pin on retractor I had on my fly vest that clipped onto the camera itself. Pinned it onto my bibs and that worked great. Not sure if your next phone will have any spots to clip on, but you might find a case that works does.

I'm pretty paranoid about things fallin down the hole, so try to keep all of my important things (wallet, licenses, phone, keys) in the zip up pockets, or in the pockets of my PJ pants under the bibs.

it was in a zip up pocket and I wasn't playing with it while fishing it was i went to check the time and all of a sudden got a bite since i already had the pocket unzipped I bent over to grab the fish and down the hole it went. Lanyard it is

Mine stays in it's case clipped in a pocket in the back of the shack, bluetooth in use while fishing....

Checking the time? Go to welfare-mart and pick up a watch for $3.00. Even if you drop it down the hole, oh well.

bluetooth headset is best.....as stated just put the phone in one of the pouches..

Most of them (cell phones) have a place where you can attach a lanyard. You can wear the lanyard around your neck or attach it to a loop or ring on your coat. Has worked for me, never lost a phone yet (knock on wood).

I put it in a pocket and zip it tight. I usually silence the ringtone as well. It's kind of nice to drop out for few hours or even a day. I agree with the watch idea.

Mine doesn't leave the truck w/o being on a laynard....

I keep mine around my neck at all times with like a 2 foot lanyard. Learned from last year.

I don't even bring the cell phone in the fishhouse with me. It's nice to not have contact with people once in a while. Holes seem to be magnets for any loose, sinkable items.

I just have the oldest, crumbiest phone ever, so naturally it will never make it down the hole. That's reserved for the nicer stuff
