Ceramic tile grout cleaner

I need to clean the grout lines on the ceramic tile in out bathrooms.

I did some research and found many suggested to use Scrubbing Bubbles Active Scrub.

I put the foam on the tile and let it sit for about 5 minutes and then scrubbed the grout line with a toothbrush. Then I did it again to make sure I had it looking like new before I resealed it.

I saw in the carpet store a quart of grout cleaner fo $30.00 and the stuff I purchased was $3.

Floor looks like new again.

Just a tip for those who have ceramic tile for cleaning purposes.

Good info Tom. It's somewhat funny, to a point, how different companies put the same stuff in different bottls, label it differently, and sell it for stupid prices.

Since we're going there, next time you want to use Draino or liquid plumber, take a peek at the label. Active ingrediant is Sodium Hypochlorite....aka bleach. Gallon of Clorox is way cheaper than a small bottle of liquid plumber. Works better too. Rinse with hot water to activate the hypochlorite (make it stronger) then rinse well. Lots of problems go bye-bye for much cheaper.

that's some good advice Eric. i've got this thick book i ordered awhile back. it's called "Grandpa's 5001 handyman secrets". i ordered it because i lack in being a handyman. it helped me out a few times. here is what it said about tile cleaning. "one of the problems with tile is the buildup of soap scum. a small amount of white vinegar or lemon juice on a cloth will solve the problem". maby not the problem Harvey had but that vinegar shure helps in many ways. good luck.

I use those scrubbing bubbles for alot of cleaning uses like the bath tub it really works good on that and at work I startesd using it on the sinks and it really cuts the grim and built up dirt that gets kinda stained in the sinks it really cleans them up. I have also used it on tires on the truck before useing the bleechwhite too.

Bleach is a another great cleaning tool just have to becareful just like Eric said deckcleaner is mostly bleach also
