Driving home from up north one weekend I spotted two bald eagles perched on a couple wooden fence posts. Unfortunately the person driving didn't want to stop and turn around to get a picture, but the quick glimpse that I got was very cool.

How close were you able to get to it?

I would guess 75-100'

I was using my 400mm with the 1.4 teleconverter and there is some cropping.
