Well, I eagerly opened up this thread hoping to post my favorite John Prine song, "Fish and Whistle." Alas, some lowly tip-up fisherman has beat me to it!! smile

Kidding, of course, tip-up king. Glad to hear there are other Prine fans out there. I'm amazed there aren't more.

It all depends on who is fishing with you. A few winters ago my son insisted on playing his choice of tunes while my dad was along. Well after about an hour my dad said "These songs sound like a record skipping". It actually was kind of funny because a lot of modern songs do sound like that. wink My son kind of got the point finally that not everybody likes the same stuff!

Fish really like good upbeat bluegrass or jam music.

I would suggest:

String Cheese Incident, Phish, Grateful Dead, Yonder Mountain String Band, Railroad Earth, Greensky Bluegrass. They like live recordings better than studio stuff. Surround sound with max volume if 15 ft or deeper.
