St Cloud Area

as you all know i moved up here in Feb, so im still wet behind the ears for this area. Im trying to find some lakes, or lake, to spear on around here. Everywhere i go i either have really really dirty water, or clear water with no fish in it at all.

Again, not looking for spots, just looking for a point in the right direction for spearing.

I spear quite a bit in the local area. As mentioned, Grand has a lot of pike and is clear about 95% of the time. Some other lakes that are sometimes clear with good pike numbers are Vails (mud), Rice, Koronis, and Carnelian. Recently I moved down towards annandale and have noticed most of the chain on the river are pretty clear but have not gotten out to try spearing any of them yet.

Big LAke near richmond is another good option most winters. HAven't been there yet to see if it's clear right now or not. Grand is a good option as is Beaver. Pleasant near Rockvile is another lake with a good pike population and is generally pretty clear.

I used to live on Big by Richmond. It has a lot of dinks in it but a few nice pike too. Normally water was clear until late in the winter. Just be careful of the rats. They used to come into my spear hole pretty constantly and scare the [PoorWordUsage] out of me when they popped out of the hole.
