Broadheads for Turkey

Any head you use for deer will kill a turkey, but it's hard to beat a big mechanical. After that it's a Ford/Chevy debate. I use Mini-Blasters by Trophy Ridge, but like I said, any large diameter mechanical is a good choice.

The mechanicals have a bigger cutting diameter then the fixed blade and with the tiny size of a turkeys vitals it gives you a higher chance if your shot is a little off. Also the 2 blade rage works well for them I shoot the 3 blade just for the cutting of that 3rd blade.

I used the same T3's that I used for deer. I don't see any need to go out and buy anything new just for turkeys unless you want to take their head off. Another reason the big mechanicals are recommended is so that the arrow stays in the bird and helps to keep them from flying off.

Sounds good thanks guys if all goes as planned I think I'm going to try my 1st year archery turkey this year. Pretty novice to turkey hunting last spring was my 2nd year, lucky to be married into a family with some turkey hunters down south otherwise never been around it. I think I'll go with some of the 3 blade rages I have and keep up my practicing. Thanks
