Type of Rope You Tie To Your Spear?

Anybody try 550 Paracord or do you recommend some other type of rope for a dark house fish spear?

I was just in the big C and didn't see any as I am also looking for some. I have checked a couple of other likely spots like AxMan with no luck. I am going to try FF soon, and may try to hit a military surplus store or 2, also. I would be greatful if anyone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

I looked all over locally at all the outdoors stores and finally gave up. So I did an internet search on paracord 550 and ordered a few hundred feet of it online. I expect to get a package in the mail sometime in the next few days.
