Propane fills

I see a few have mentioned how some places fill by the pound. Who in the north metro does this? Heck, for what a normal set fill costs I will even drive a ways.

Some of us get our refills at the U-Haul stations... not all U-Hauls have propane but the ones that do.. usually have much better pricing than other outfits.... and you only pay for what you are actually getting... not a flat rate even when you bring in a partially empty tank.

Last year I started stopping at the SA in Elk River (i think) and they were charging me $18 or 19 to fill a #30.

There is a gas station on the corner of Lexington Ave. and 694 that fills a 20# tank for $14.99.

Gas station on 65 and constance fills 100# tanks for $55

It's been a while, but the 35 and Broadway BP Gas in Flake does it as well as the Motomart over on 61 and 97. Don't remember how much it cost but I'm thinking around $18 for 20#.

$18 for a 20 at the Holiday at 97 and 35E just south of FLake. The one on 96 and 35E also fills.

I haven't checked recently but the BP at hwy 10 and Hanson blvd in Coon Rapids had a sign out for $10.99 20lb propane fills.

Can anyone verify?

I've heard that Tractor Supply in Elk River fills by the pound but haven't used it personally yet.

Yep, The BP on Hanson and Hwy 10 has 20lb - 10.99, 100lb - 55 and 30lb -for 18.99

I guess I always just get it done at Vados when I get bait. It's been a long while since I have had to do that but if I remember right they were very fair for pricing.

be careful with the 10.99 deals. most of the time they exchange it for one thats not much more than half full. or only fill it partially.

BP on Hanson and Northdale still has them for $10.99. I got a fill there and everything seemed okay. They said they are trying to draw in new customers before the new Holiday across the street opens.

i hit north suburban rental off bunker lake and 65. 14.00 I beleive for a 20#er

For you guys down in the cities I used to work at little bighorn in coon rapids and they go by the pound not sure what they are charging now since its been a few years. For guys up in the Fargo area I just filled up at Tony's super value in Hawley for right around 14 and they go by the pound as well but have heard silbernagles in Moorhead is a good deal as well.

not sure exactly what they're charging but charlie browns on hwy 10 across from the feed mill in elk river fills propane. they also sell kerosene by the gallon. that's what I use to fuel my big mr heater
