Hey everyone, good luck this weekend I won't be hunting until the Iowa season in December, BUT, make sure when you are taking those pictures, take the time to pose the deer. Clean off the blood, put the tongue back in their mouth. If it is a big deer, small deer, first deer, what ever, take a picture. Please keep the trash out of the pictures like beer cans, pop cans, smokes etc.

couple other tips for good pictures:

wear what you were wearing at the time of the shot.

have the sun over the camera man's shoulder.

have the camera man get the horizon in the background - which means they'll probably have to kneel. don't stand and take a picture downward where only the ground is in the background.

get a natural scene picture - don't have your only picture of the deer be of the deer in the back of a truck, in your front yard, or you holding up the head while it's on the meat pole.

if you have a digital camera, don't stop taking pictures of your trophy. odds are if you take a couple dozen pictures, you'll only be happy with 1 or 2 of them.

Maybe I want a few Hamms cans in my pic, and for the deer to be in a natural state(dead deer face). Why do you care what our pics look like?????

Lol, I was looking back at some old Deer pictures of when our hunting group were all very young. One picture is with a buddy and I a year we both got doubles each and right in the middle of the deer heads and us is a fly wheel off an old truck laying in the farm yard! Da! Not

if you get a chance, read the forum policy on pictures. he is correct in what he said. we have a lot of young kids looking at these threads and would not like to encourage certain habits. good luck.
