RIP Gusty Blue

Just buried one of the best dang dogs I have ever hunted behind. He dug birds up where ever I took him and handle with ease. I will miss him greatly.

Many kindred souls helping you bear the burden today. Most of us have walked that pathbut it is not easy. Time will pass-quicker than you think- and someday a sad smile and a tear or two will remind you of your old friend.I remember ALL of mine....and think of them more and more as I get older. I loved my black dogs.

It's always tough to lose a dog but especially a good one. My condolences. I thought I was going to have to make one of these posts too. I almost lost my dog on Saturday to pyometra.

Thanks Ben, James gave Gusty to me to hunt out the rest of his years. He very quickly won everyone's heart. I had him out just about everywhere. He had been grouse hunting 3 or 4 weekends and to SD twice. I would limit his time down so he did not get beat up but he found birds every time he was down. The night he passed I sent Jerry a email inquiring about Choice's next litter. It sounds like she got a lot of Gusty's good traits.
